Park(ing) Day NYC

September 19th, 2008

What is the best use of scarce street space?  In a city where everyone is a pedestrian, it’s outrageous that so much public space—equal or greater than the sidewalk space on most streets—should be used to park and store private vehicles. In hopes of jarring New Yorkers out of their complacent acceptance of all the parked cars in their midst, join the UWS Renaissance in helping to make sure that our neighborhood is well represented during Park(ing) Day 2008!  Last year the UWS had several great spots, this year, we want even more.
