Broadway and Amsterdam were two of the original roads that linked the first settlements on the Upper West Side to the city at the bottom of Manhattan.  Today, they remain the beating heart of our city and our neighborhood.  But throughout the Upper West Side, they are suffering from neglectful design.  Cars double and triple park, sidewalks are too narrow to meet demand, and the noise of traffic is overwhelming.  Join us in imagining a new future for our greatest avenues that will see them return to glory as a hub of Upper West Side neighborhood life rather than just two more traffic-choked thoroughfares.
